In August 1951, three small children are cast adrift on a stormy sea when they are admitted into Care in the large industrial city of Leeds in northern England. Their father is unable to care for them after their mother is admitted to hospital while pregnant with her fourth child. While in the hospital she is diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
This is a tale of trial and redemption as the children suffer physical and verbal abuse on a daily basis in the Children's Home to which they are sent.
Against all the odds, can they survive the system and live normal lives?
This story is based on actual events in the lives of the author and his siblings.
